Under what circumstances is it necessary to close positions?

Currently, there are generally three situations in which arbitrage positions are closed:

First: Funding rate reversal, requiring payment of funding fees

For example, if you are engaged in positive funding rate arbitrage, when the funding rate changes from positive to negative, meaning there is no arbitrage profit or there is a need for payment, you can close this arbitrage position.

Second: Closing price difference can realize profit (closing transaction fees are approximately 0.15% of the position)

Simply put, when the fees that traders need to pay for closing transactions are approximately 0.15% of their trading position (i.e. trading amount), the arbitrage position can be closed.

In arbitrage trading, there is a price difference between futures and spot at the time of opening a position. It is only profitable to close the position when the market price difference at the time of closing is smaller than at the time of opening. When executing a closing transaction, transaction fees need to be paid, which need to be deducted from the total arbitrage profit. If the fees and other possible trading costs are too high, it may partially or completely consume the arbitrage profit.

Third: Switching to a higher-yield arbitrage combination or personal reasons requiring withdrawal of funds to exit early.

How to quickly close the program and liquidate the arbitrage position?

When you want to close the arbitrage program and liquidate the position, you can click "Close Program."

1. Auto-earning coin liquidation:

Method 1: Open the "My Arbitrage" management page, find the arbitrage combination that needs to be closed, click "Close Program" on the right, and use "Recommended to close and liquidate the position."

Method 2: Open the "Professional Arbitrage-Auto Earning Coin" page, click "Close Program," and use "Recommended to close and liquidate the position."

If the closing has not been completed for a long time and you need to close the arbitrage quickly, you can click "Accelerate Closing." The principle of accelerating closing is to adjust the closing price difference rate to meet the order requirements, which may result in placing an order at a premium of 0.5%, so there may be a certain price cost loss.

If you want to customize the closing price difference rate, you can manually modify the closing conditions and enter your specified value, and the arbitrage strategy will then close according to the set parameters.

2. Arbitrage closing

Open the professional arbitrage page, click "Arbitrage Closing," select the combination you want to close, enter the closing price difference rate, the closing quantity (select maximum), click "Run Closing Program," and wait for the closing.

When you click "Close Program," and the program is still in the process of closing, if you want to quickly liquidate the position, you can adjust the closing price difference rate to meet the closing conditions, which will immediately prompt the arbitrage strategy program to start the closing order.
